Little Traveler Zone awaits their youngest passengers on the Jantar Express
train on route from Warsaw to TriCity. The car has many surprises, including a
special Wars menu for children. The first Jantar Express with the Little
Traveler Zone will start its journey from the Warszawa Wschodnia station at
6:17 a.m.
PKP Intercity in cooperation with the
Boomerang TV channel prepared a non-compartment second class car with a special
play zone for children. The car, besides regular seats, is fitted with colorful
equipment for the little travelers where they can spend time on creative play.
The zone has been designed in such a way
that the drawings on the walls become a part of counting, shape recognition and
color naming game. The traveling children will face various challenges such as:
finding the differences in the pictures placed on the ceiling or leading a
character through picture mazes drawn under the windows. The room has been
equipped with a chalk board and comfy poufs which can also be used as soft play
blocks. To while away the time of the journey, the car is fitted with screens displaying
the series from the well-known Boomerang’s Cartoonito segment. The little
travelers will be able to watch the adventures of friendly and always helpful
“Bananas in Pyjamas”, the singing characters of “Jelly Jamm” and forever playful
“Ha Ha Hairies”.
The toilets have been equipped with
diaper changing stations and the corridor has room for baby carriages and
additional space for sizeable luggage. The whole car, inside and outside, is
adorned with the images of popular Cartoonito characters known to children from
the Boomerang channel.
In addition to the play zone, Wars
company has prepared the “Kids’ Menu” in which the youngest will find such
dishes as omelet with jam or chicken nuggets in breadcrumbs.
“The project with the Boomerang channel
answers the needs of our youngest and most demanding clients. The uniquely
designed traveler zone will not allow for boredom during the journey.
Additionally, all the children will be able to try out the new menu particularly
prepared for them by Wars company”
– says Janusz Malinowski, President of PKP Intercity.
“The mission of Boomerang’s Cartoonito
segment for preschoolers is to while away the time for them and their family.
It is common knowledge that children get bored when traveling. Therefore,
organizing an interesting form of entertainment for them has become a perfect
challenge for us. We are curious how the little travelers will react to the
unusual way of interacting with Boomerang and Cartoonito. We hope that the idea
will be appreciated both by children and parents” – says Małgorzata Chapman, marketing and PR director
for Turner Broadcasting System in the Central and Eastern Europe and the
Benelux.
The Jantar Express begins its journey
daily at 6:29 a.m. from the Warsaw Central station and arrives in Gdynia at
12:27 p.m. The tickets are available in the 30-day presale. The car offers 54
seats and is subject to total seat reservation.

from Warsaw to Gdynia costs 127.50 PLN. Passengers who want to benefit from the
Jantar Express Family Ticket offer
will pay 89.55 PLN for a ticket, while a ticket for a child with the statutory
