Express InterCity Premium (EIP) - people with disabilities will have the opportunity to purchase the ticket on the train
People with disabilities who select journey by Express InterCity Premium (EIP) will have the opportunity to purchase the ticket from the conductor on the train. They shall only pay for a ticket without a fee for its issuance.
In view of the fact that in the new trains there are two seats dedicated to the needs of persons with reduced mobility we encourage our passengers to plan trips in advance. PKP Intercity offers a free help to disabled passengers during embarking, disembarking from the train or changing to another train. To request assistance, please contact your carrier at least 48 hours prior to travel. Applications can be made by phone (19 757, +48 22 3919757).
EIP trains offer a high comfort for disabled persons. In the third car exterior doors are equipped with lifts for easy boarding and alighting passengers who use wheelchairs. There are two seats and adapted toilet. The choice of car was not accidental as there is also a bar area and room for the train service persons. Additionally, in the EIP category trains there are facilities for the blind and visually impaired. Seats in the cars are marked in Braille, and information on the subsequent stations will be administered by the PA system. The train is equipped with special systems to allow contacting PKP Intercity officer or WARS steward at any time.
