Aerodynamic “nose” of the train was designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro – an Italian car designer, cofounder of a company Italdesign-Giugiaro S.p.A, who in 1999 won the main award in a plebiscite for the best car designer of the 20th century.

The construction of the train was perfected in terms of aerodynamics, thanks to which the sounds reaching the interior through the roof have been significantly dampened. The acoustic insulation of the undercarriage has also been modified, which reduces the noise emitted by the moving train. The use of [a distributed drive system] allows for the reduction of vibrations and adverse effects of train acceleration and deceleration.
