Kraków is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Europe.
Why Kraków
The former capital of Poland delights mostly with its Old Town included on UNESCO’s World Heritage List. The Main Market Square, the Cloth Hall (Sukiennice) or St. Mary’s Basilica are extremely important places in the Polish history and are located there. Today, they still fill everyone with admiration with their style and the panache they have been built with. When in Kraków, you must visit the Wawel Hill with its monumental Royal Castle, the former seat of Polish sovereigns and the Metropolitan Cathedral Basilica where Polish kings, national poets and political leaders are buried. Kraków is a city of churches. The most interesting ones are: St. Anna’s Collegiate Church, Church of the Apostles St. Peter and Paul, Church of St. Joseph. When leaving the Old Town, you should direct your steps towards Kazimierz, a former Jewish district with a special atmosphere, today’s centre of the city’s nightlife.
