Why Tarnów

There is a good reason for this town being called the gem of the Polish Renaissance. Tarnów old town, free from crowds of tourists, has its own unique atmosphere. Its picturesque old tenements, the stylish town hall and the gothic Metropolitan Cathedral Basilica make its centre a worthwhile place for each tourist. In Tarnów, you can also find monuments of wooden architecture. These include three small churches, the oldest of which, dedicated to Our Lady Scapular, comes from the 15th century.
