PKP Intercity Group Travel is an attractive offer for cheaper travel of a group of at least 11 people traveling together across Poland.
The number of available seats is limited, so make your group reservation as early as possible.
Orders are accepted for the current annual train timetable period.
You can place your travel order 90 days prior and no later than 14 days before your planned departure.
You will receive a response regarding your order within 5 working days from submission.
How to do it?
Step 1 - Register on the PKP Intercity website
To use the application, register or log in (if you already have an account) to the przejazdygrupowe.intercity.plotwiera się w nowym oknie website.
Step 2 - Fill in and submit the order form
In the form, indicate your requested travel parameters (date, boarding and alighting stations, and selected trains), details of the person responsible for the group (this person must travel with the group!), and the number of people in the group, including details regarding applicable discounts.
If a group member is entitled to a discount of 37%, 51%, 78%, 95%, or 100%, they can take advantage of it.
Step 3 - Download and print the Group Travel Card
We will inform you via email about the acceptance of your order. At the same time, we will make the Group Travel Card available in the order on your account.
Information about the acceptance or rejection of your order will be sent within the following dates:
- 30 days prior to departure - if we receive your order within 90 to 35 days before the group's departure,
- within 5 working days - if we receive your order within 34 to 14 days before the group's departure,
- immediately - if we receive your order 14 days before the group's departure.
In case we are unable to fulfill your order, we will propose alternative trains for your trip if possible.
Please print the available Group Travel Card and take it to PKP IC ticket office of your choice for ticket purchase or pickup.
Remember that it is required to take your Group Travel Card with you and present it along with the tickets during ticket control.
Step 4 - Pay for and collect your tickets
You can pay for tickets using one of the following payment methods:
- Cash or card directly at the ticket office,
- Traditional bank transfer - you can find our bank transfer details in your account on przejazdygrupowe.intercity.plotwiera się w nowym oknie once the status of your order has changed to "accepted".
To collect your tickets, you have to show the printed Group Travel Card at the ticket office. You have to collect them at the ticket office indicated in your order, no later than 7 days before the group's departure.
In case of a bank transfer payment, tickets must be collected within the period of time indicated by us.
Additional information
Ticket prices for group travel differ according to PKP Intercity train categories:
EIC and EIP trains are cheaper by:
- 20% off the base price - if you are traveling on Monday through Thursday and Saturday,
- 15% off the base price - if you are traveling on Friday or Sunday.
TLK and IC are cheaper by 30% off the base price.
The base price is the maximum price for a given type of ticket for a specific route, class, and train category, without applying discounts or special offers.
For every 15 people traveling in the group, the 16th person travels free of charge. There can be a maximum of 4 such people in one group.
For example, if
the group consists of:
- 16 people - 1 person travels for free,
- 35 people - 2 people travel for free,
- 51 people - 3 people travel for free,
- 70 people - 4 people travel for free.
If the group is traveling in a sleeper or couchette car, additional tickets must be purchased for sleeping or couchette accommodations.
The group leader is the person responsible for the group during travel.
If, after placing the order, you want to reduce the number of participants, the group discount remains valid as long as the group does not count less than 11 people.
During ticket control, the organizer or group leader must present:
- the Group Travel Card,
- tickets,
- reservations in case you are traveling in couchette or sleeper cars.
In case group members are using discounts, they must present documents proving their entitlement during ticket control on the train.
The group ticket serves as a VAT invoice (legal basis: § 3 point 4 of the Ministry of Finance Regulation of October 29, 2021 [Journal of Laws 2021, item 1979]). Therefore, VAT invoices will not be issued for this type of ticket.
